Liverpool Agree to Sell Title Winning Forward
Liverpool’s brilliant playmaker, Xherdan Shaqiri, is set for an immediate Anfield exit, following the Reds’ £9.5m transfer deal agreement with French side, Lyon.
The 29-year-old midfielder joined Liverpool from Stoke in a £13m deal in 2018, however, he hasn’t managed to secure himself a starting IV place in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
Shaqiri hasn’t featured in most of the club’s Premier League games this season, and even last year he only got to start in just five games.
Despite not having a prominent spot in Klopps’ team, the Swiss international has been the number one target for Lyon sporting director, Juninho and head coach, Peter Bosz.
The Swiss midfielder is already in France, busy with transfer medicals as the official announcement is just a mere formality.
Shaqiri is the second Liverpool player to make a move to a Ligue 1 club this season.
